WAGS Cook Out

UPDATE: The WAGS Cook Out was held and was a success. The weather was perfect. The group was small. But welcomed some new members and hope to make this an annual event.

Due to rain the WAGS Cook Out has been rescheduled for Sunday, August 23, 2009.

The time will now be 4 PM.

Members & guests please bring your choice of potato chips, desserts, veggie or fruit salads. Paper goods, hot dogs & buns will be provided by WAGS. The officers are providing marshmallows, potato salad, baked beans, drinks & ice. Animals are welcome. Event is open to the public. Bring your lawn chairs. There will be kiddie pools available. One for the dogs & one for the kids (big & little)! Please RSVP.

Butterfly Hills Open Barn

Carol Parmenter, owner of Butterfly Hills Farm, is having this event to promote and educate the public about miniature horses. The horses can be used in a variety of ways including cart pulling, showing, pet therapy, etc. Bring the whole family and come join the fun!

Visitors will be able to interact with the horses and there will also be horses available for purchase.

Light refreshments will be served.

In this group we use our animals for animal assisted and pet therapy activities. Our group is based in Nevada, MO and sponsored by the University of Missouri Extension.
